Are you facing some struggles in life and unable to understand why these events are happening?
Often times do you feel that you’re always the one who’s dealt a bad hand or left holding the bag?
If you answered yes to these questions then there may be some truth to why you may be experiencing this struggle.
Life can be full of disappointments. Disappointments happen but what matters most is the stance taken when viewing the situation that appears to pose itself as a threat. Your perspective of the disappointment changes the outcome of your situation, depending on how you view it.
Perspective
Perspective can be defined as the attitude toward or interpretation of a particular event, events, or others. It is shaped and molded by the experiences individuals have had in life.
Many times the perspective people take in life and of their circumstances is limited by the inability to effectively measure their personal contribution to each situation.
Repeated situations show up to reinforce the need to enforce a new alternative and apply different strategies. Growth is necessary however when one is presented with the opportunity to grow, opposition will also present itself.
Opposition is Opportunity
Almost always, the oppositions you are presented with are meant to work for you, to bless you, and bless others through you. Nothing in life ever happens without a reason for being.
Eventually what you may see as being an obstacle will be the same thing that’s used to define you, presenting you with the opportunity to be the solution to the problem. Opposition can be presented by many different situations but also people in close proximity to us or the lack of a support group necessary to assist us in growth. No man was created to be an island.
Relationships matter.
Do you have quality relationships or surrounded by people just so you don’t have to be alone?
Are you being encouraged in your relationships to reach your goals?
The perspective of the disappointments that happen in life can and should be measured by the quality of the company you keep. Everyone wants to be loved, encouraged, and supported while attempting to reach for higher heights. But sometimes the relationships we maintain do not allow for us to develop as an individual.
With the right perspective, you have the opportunity to view those attempts as Gods way of strengthening you, by revealing to you the importance of seeking healthy relationships. If there are people in your life, who are opposing your growth, you can choose to get angry or use the resistance to assist you in identifying changes that need to take place.
1 Peter 5:8- Be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
There is a bigger enemy, not the person, but satan who uses people to create hinderances, speak negatively, and create confusion, often times without their awareness. Also the attack that presents itself against you is what is used to help you understand more of what you are called to do and help you to define your purpose or calling in this life. Use the tactics thrown at you as fuel for your fire to become who you were called to be.
Feeling Denied?
Delayed does not mean denied. Disappointments appearing as delay are meant to serve you and preserve you, while bringing you into a place of wisdom. The place of delay is for you to posture yourself to be educated in the area of your desired promise. Disapointments maybe perceived as unmet expectations but we are to place those desires in the hands of God.
When we place our confidence in God, along with the disappointments we faced, we then allow God to show us the reason for the disappointment which can be utilized as a tool for success.
Our disappointments always allow God to present us with His best as he knows what is best for us. His best is always presented to us at the proper and appointed times. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose as is stated in Romans 8:28.
If God was to give to us everything we ever asked for at once, we would never learn the key lessons that are necessary to be received at exactly the right time. Disappointments also present themselves to us let us know that patience is needed. James 1:4 (NKJV)- But let patience have her perfect work that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing.
The Blessing of Patience
Patience is necessary in order to achieve the desired results for significance in your life. When patience has its perfect work, you are not only able to review areas in your life in need of an overhaul, but also to think critically about what is needed and what needs to be eliminated. You begin to see that what you thought you maybe needed at the time and absolutely could not live without, may now not fit the person you are becoming.
Patience produces a fruitful perspective as the time of reflection allows room for development and strategy. Be patient with yourself and allow room for a fresh perspective and Gods perfect will to work in you.
Philippians 2:13 9 (KJV) — For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.
With every trial and test comes a reward but ultimately it is God who is working out your situation, for your good, even when you don’t see anything moving. God works out the disappointments, set backs, your relationships, and your perspective of the disappointments.
When you release the need to hold on to old perspectives, you allow God to settle your uncertainty by allowing him to bring to you a fresh perspective of the things that appeared to be denied. Patience with diligence, study and redirection, almost always brings about a better result than the delay that was once perceived as a disappointment.
